Job summary

Eaton is hiring a Picker (Forklift Operator) for 1st shift at our Duncan, SC facility. Core hours are 5:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., with possible overtime.

The role involves moving material throughout the distribution center, using reach trucks and order pickers to fulfill customer orders. Responsibilities include locating materials, verifying counts with scanning equipment, packing and labeling appropriately, and staging pallets for shipping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating forklift equipment preferred or six months experience suggested.

Responsibilities

• Operate reach truck and order picker to retrieve materials from warehouse locations.
• Receive, restock, pick, pack, and ship orders to support the distribution center workflow.
• Verify counts, inspect products, and ensure accurate packing and labeling.
• Unload and stage pallets, generate move tickets, and restock locations as needed.
• Maintain safety, follow procedures, and assist with overtime as required.

Eaton’s ES AMER HQ MFGSC division is currently seeking a Picker (Forklift Operator) - 1st Shift at our Duncan, SC facility! The core hours are Monday - Friday, 5:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 per hour.

What you’ll do:

The Order Picker facilitates the movement of material throughout the distribution center by receiving, re-stocking, picking, packing, and shipping to enable the site to process customer orders.

• Operate reach truck and order picker in order to retrieve appropriate styles and quantities of material from warehouse locations (often from varying levels of height) using appropriate picking process.
• Place materials in containers, visually inspect the product, verify with scanning equipment if required, and verify accuracy of product count. Utilize the same skills to restock/replenish.
• Unload and stage pallets of materials in appropriate areas of Shipping. Utilize packing slips to generate print move tickets, breakdown material, sort styles, verify count and restock appropriate warehouse locations via use of LXE computers to scan material, styles, location and re-verify count.
• Verify styles and quantities of materials picked. Visually inspect products, scanning and place in shipping carton. Place packing material in shipping carton to minimize potential of product damage during shipping. Place packing lists, content labels and shipping labels where appropriate.
• Verify styles and quantities of materials picked, checking styles, quantities and diverting to shrink wrap or shipping lane. Generate appropriate shipping labels and load onto designated carrier.
• Resolve discrepancies. Research all possible solutions to ensure order is accurate.
• Maintain quality workmanship, observe safety procedures, report unsafe acts and perform work of equal or lower classification if necessary.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Six (6) months experience with Forklift/Cherry Picker/ Reach Truck and/or Order Picker operation experience.

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the practice of good housekeeping.
• Ability to work specific shift hours and work overtime as required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
