Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is hiring for a Pick & Prep guest service role in the Midway area. You will actively engage guests, prepare products, and showcase benefits such as freshness, health, and local sourcing.

You will demonstrate knife skills, operate the Pick & Prep area, ensure product quality, and maintain sanitation and safety. The job requires 18+ and physical ability to lift and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Capable of lifting 25 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Knowledge of Pick & Prep operations and knife skills.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and job requirements.
• Good communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.
• Able to communicate with supervision and work with scales and computers.

Responsibilities

Overview

To prepare Pick & Prep product and provide product preparation services to create a sensory and engaging experience for guests, while operating at or above company standards.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage guests through product preparation, active sampling and suggestive selling.
• To personally demonstrate superior guest service at all times. This will included but is not limited to storytelling about specific products within the department, highlighting product benefits such as Fresh, Healthy, Seasonal and most importantly Local, etc..
• Demonstrate knife showmanship skills to highlight the services and show offered at Pick & Prep
• Operate the Pick & Prep area according to strict merchandising and operational standards.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, merchandising and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Perform PA announcements.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
