Job summary

Lowes Foods is seeking a Pick & Prep team member to engage guests through product preparation and sampling, delivering friendly, informative service. You will demonstrate knife showmanship, highlight local, fresh and seasonal offerings, and operate the Pick & Prep area to standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, proper handling, safety and sanitation, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly while standing for long periods. Training provided.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to effectively communicate with, and take direction from supervision.
• Ability to work well with computers and scales.

To prepare Pick & Prep product and provide product preparation services to create a sensory and engaging experience for guests, while operating at or above company standards.

• Actively engage guests through product preparation, active sampling and suggestive selling.
• To personally demonstrate superior guest service at all times. This will included but is not limited to storytelling about specific products within the department, highlighting product benefits such as Fresh, Healthy, Seasonal and most importantly Local, etc..
• Demonstrate knife showmanship skills to highlight the services and show offered at Pick & Prep
• Operate the Pick & Prep area according to strict merchandising and operational standards.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards.
