Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC in Pittsboro, NC is seeking a Pick & Prep team member to prepare products, provide samples, and engage guests with friendly, knowledgeable recommendations.

You will demonstrate knife skills, operate the Pick & Prep area to standards, ensure product quality and sanitation, and support receiving, stocking, merchandising, and PA announcements while delivering outstanding guest service.

Qualifications

• Able to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.
• Able to follow supervision and take directions.
• Capable of working with computers and scales.

Responsibilities

• To personally demonstrate superior guest service at all times. This will included but is not limited to story telling about specific products within the department, highlighting product benefits such as Fresh, Healthy, Seasonal and most importantly Local, etc..
• Demonstrate knife showmanship skills to highlight the services and show offered at Pick & Prep
• Operate the Pick & Prep area according to strict merchandising and operational standards.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, merchandising and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Perform PA announcements.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
