Job summary

Albanese Confectionery Group, Inc in Merrillville, IN is seeking a Pick and Replenish Operator to support customer fulfillment in the DC. The role focuses on picking LTL/FTL and small parcel orders with emphasis on accuracy and quality, and will train in replenishment cross-training to verify and transfer finished goods to correct bin locations.

The position reports to warehouse supervision, participates in continuous improvement, and requires English literacy, basic math, ability to lift 25 lbs

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
• RF Scanner experience or ERP familiarity is a plus.
• Basic math skills (with calculator) and ability to read scales and tape measures.

Responsibilities

• Picking all LTL, FTL and small parcel orders in a timely manner with emphasis on accuracy and quality.
• Palletizing orders in a stable manner that is acceptable for shipping.
• Verification through item/product scanning that the product being picked matches description, quantity, lot, and best by date.
• Ensure pallet labels include customer name, order number, date and ship via for the order.
• Ensures all selected orders are staged correctly by ship via.
• Verifies finished goods and ensure they are stored and transferred to correct locations per warehouse process.
• Performs physical inventory of assigned areas when directed.

The DC Pick and Pack job tasks are responsible for picking all LTL, FTL and small parcel orders in a timely manner with emphasis on accuracy and quality. Once certified in the pick and pack operation, replenishment cross training will be implemented, as Replenishment operators verify, stage, and transfer finished goods into the correct bin locations for picking and shipping to our customers internal and external. Brief Description

SCOPE

This position reports to DC Warehouse supervisor. They support pick and replenishment work activities in the DC Warehouse area as needed. They also support other operational activities in other departments and warehouse teams as directed by management, always having the positive mindset of continuous improvement and learning all facets of warehouse operations, with a focus on 99.85% perfect order, customer success.

Responsibilities

• Picking all LTL, FTL and small parcel orders in a timely manner with emphasis on accuracy and quality
• Palletizing orders in a stable manner that is acceptable for shipping
• Verification through item/product scanning that product being picked is the correct product description, quantity, lot, and best buy date matching the system information
• Ensure pallet labels are placed with all completed orders to include customers name, order number date and shipped via for which the order is shipping accurately
• Ensures all selected orders are staged correctly by ship via
• Verifies finished good items and ensure they are stored and transferred to the correct locations throughout the warehouse in accordance with the warehouse process
• Performs physical Inventory of assigned areas when directed

Requirements

• Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
• Regular and timely attendance
• Daily work flexibility with a positive attitude
• Basic computer skills to operate computer automated equipment
• Must have basic math skills (with use of a calculator)
• Must be able to read and interpret weight scales and tape measures
• Must be able to lift up-to 25 pounds consistently and 50 pounds on occasion
• Must be able to stand for the duration of a 8-10-hour shift with applicable breaks
• RF Scanner and/or previous ERP system experience is a plus

EDUCATION

• Must have a High School Diploma or a G.E.D.
