Job summary

DeKalb Health in Merrillville, IN is seeking a DC Pick and Replenish Operator to support picking LTL, FTL and small parcel orders with emphasis on accuracy and quality. This role operates within the warehouse and reports to the DC Warehouse supervisor.

Responsibilities include palletizing orders, verifying items with scanner, labeling shipments, staging by ship via, and assisting with physical inventory as directed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
• Regular and timely attendance.
• Daily work flexibility with a positive attitude.
• Basic computer skills to operate computer automated equipment.
• Must have basic math skills with a calculator.

Responsibilities

• Picking all LTL, FTL and small parcel orders in a timely manner with emphasis on accuracy and quality.
• Palletizing orders in a stable manner that is acceptable for shipping.
• Verification through item/product scanning that product being picked is the correct product description, quantity, lot, and best buy date matching the system information.
• Ensure pallet labels are placed with all completed orders to include customers name, order number date and shipped via for which the order is shipping accurately.
• Ensures all selected orders are staged correctly by ship via.
• Verifies finished good items and ensure they are stored and transferred to the correct locations throughout the warehouse in accordance with the warehouse process.
• Performs physical Inventory of assigned areas when directed.

Description

UNDERSTANDING

A cross-functional position, the Pick and Replenish Operator position is essential to customer service, warehouse, transportation, and inventory operations (Customer Fulfillment). The DC Pick and Pack job tasks are responsible for picking all LTL, FTL and small parcel orders in a timely manner with emphasis on accuracy and quality. Once certified in the pick and pack operation, replenishment cross training will be implemented, as Replenishment operators verify, stage, and transfer finished goods into the correct bin locations for picking and shipping to our customers internal and external. This team member aligns seamlessly with our core values, they are accountable for keeping themselves safe and motivating others around them to do the same. SCOPE

This position reports to DC Warehouse supervisor. They support pick and replenishment work activities in the DC Warehouse area as needed. They also support other operational activities in other departments and warehouse teams as directed by management, always having the positive mindset of continuous improvement and learning all facets of warehouse operations, with a focus on 99.85% perfect order, customer success.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
• Regular and timely attendance
• Daily work flexibility with a positive attitude
• Basic computer skills to operate computer automated equipment
• Must have basic math skills (with use of a calculator)
• Must be able to read and interpret weight scales and tape measures
• Must be able to lift up-to 25 pounds consistently and 50 pounds on occasion
• Must be able to stand for the duration of a 8-10-hour shift with applicable breaks
• RF Scanner and/or previous ERP system experience is a plus

EDUCATION

• Must have a High School Diploma or a G.E.D.
