Job summary

Southeast Health is seeking a Vascular Access Specialist to insert PICCs in both outpatient and inpatient settings. You will apply the nursing process to care for patients with complex vascular access needs and uphold intravenous nursing standards.

The role involves dressing changes, device repairs, and educating patients and staff on vascular access care. On-call responsibilities evenings, nights, and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of Alabama.
• Skill and competency in peripheral IV access and central vascular access devices.
• CRNI certification must be obtained within one year of employment.
• Must be able to rotate on-call during evenings, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Insert PICCs in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with complex vascular access needs.
• Perform maintenance: dressing changes, declotting, and repair of PICC lines and other devices.
• Educate patients and staff on vascular access device care and management.
