Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking a PICC Registered Nurse to independently insert peripheral IVs and catheters, and to support a collaborative PICC team in Brandon, FL.

The ideal candidate holds Florida RN licensure (or compact), with at least two years in acute care, BLS, and strong communication. This role emphasizes patient care, education, and adherence to infection-control guidelines in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Active Florida Registered Nurse licensure or compact licence; activate within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• At least two years’ experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Strong critical thinking, service excellence and interpersonal communication; ability to read and follow instructions; PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Insert and manage PICC, mid-line, and peripheral IV catheters according to policy.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient condition.
• Serve as resource on catheter insertion, products and procedures.
• Educate staff, patients, and families on PICC care and use.
• Assess venous access needs and learning needs using systematic data.
