Job summary

HCA Florida Westside Hospital is seeking an experienced PICC RN to join the vascular access team. The ideal candidate will insert PICC and Midline catheters using ultrasound guidance, assess patients for the best access devices, and support IV therapy across the unit.

You will educate staff on best practices, collaborate with physicians and radiology, and help improve patient outcomes through evidence-based vascular access care.

Qualifications

• Current Florida Nursing License or recognized Compact Licensure
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• PICC Line Certification
• VA-BC certification preferred
• PICC RN experience with Midlines
• At least 2 years RN experience including IV therapy

Responsibilities

• Perform PICC and Midline insertions utilizing ultrasound guidance
• Assess patients and recommend vascular access devices
• Assist with difficult peripheral IV insertions
• Monitor, troubleshoot, maintain, and discontinue vascular access devices
• Educate and support nursing staff on vascular access best practices
• Collaborate with physicians, radiology, and interdisciplinary teams
