Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking an experienced PICC-certified Vascular Access Nurse for a 13-week contract in Morristown, NJ. The role focuses on PICC line insertion, ultrasound-guided access, and patient-centered vascular care.

The nurse will assess patients, perform insertions, monitor devices, and educate patients, families, and staff while collaborating with the medical team to minimize complications and ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years PICC line insertion experience.
Competency in PICC insertion and ultrasound-guided vascular access.
Current RN license and BLS certification required.
PICC certification required; VA-BC or CRNI preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess patients and determine appropriate vascular access devices.
Insert PICC lines, midline catheters, and ultrasound-guided peripheral IVs.
Use ultrasound and ECG tip confirmation during catheter placement.
Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot vascular access devices.
Educate patients, families, and staff on vascular access care and best practices.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams on vascular access needs.
Document assessments, procedures, and outcomes in the EMR.
Participate in quality improvement to reduce catheter-related complications and CLABSI.
