Job summary

PCH Princeton Community Hospital is seeking a PICC nurse to provide vascular access care for adult and pediatric patients. The role requires VA-BC certification within two years, RN licensure, and ACLS/BLS within specified times. You will use ultrasound guidance for lines, educate patients and staff, and participate in quality monitoring of IV therapies.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 10. Shift: Varied, Non-Exempt.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the service state or a multistate license (eNLC).
• VA-BC certification within two years of hire.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of hire and BLS within 30 days.
• One year of clinical nursing experience; PICC/vascular access experience preferred.
• BARD PICC training completion as established by department.

Responsibilities

• Insert PICC, Midlines, Ports and PIV using ultrasound guidance and verify placement with ECG or x-ray.
• Monitor and manage PICC lines; perform dressing changes and declotting as needed.
• Insert peripheral IVs and implement IV therapy and patient education.
• Participate in quality monitoring related to PICC insertions and ultrasound-guided IV.
• Provide staff, patient, and family education on IV therapies and PICC care.
• Assist with chart audits and adherence to core measures related to IV therapy.
