Location: Springfield Studio

Are you a skilled pianist with a love for teaching? Sono Music is excited to announce the opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated Piano Teacher to join our vibrant team! If you possess a deep passion for music and a desire to inspire students of all ages, we want to hear from you!

We ideally seek staff who would like to work a roster of 4 or 5 days a week in order to accommodate client demand. However, for people who we feel are the right fit, we seek to provide their ideal roster, so we have some flexibility.

At Sono Music, we believe music education is a crucial community service. Our mission is to cultivate a supportive and enriching environment where students can explore their musical potential. As a Piano Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in this mission, guiding beginners through their first notes and challenging advanced students to reach new heights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide engaging and personalised piano lessons to students of varying skill levels.
  • Develop tailored lesson plans that cater to individual learning styles and goals.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning atmosphere.
  • Prepare students for recitals, exams, and other performance opportunities.
  • Conduct occasional workshops and attend our performance events.
  • Attend and contribute to professional development and training sessions.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance our comprehensive music curriculum.
Preferred qualifications/experience/attributes
  • A degree in Music, or Grade 8 or above AMEB (or similar) is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for music education.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students, fostering a love for music.
  • A high level of personal integrity and commitment.
