The ideal candidate has 3+ years teaching or performing music, solid music theory knowledge, strong organizational and customer-relations skills, and a passion for teaching in a vibrant environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of teaching or performing music professionally.
• Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design.
• Excellent ability to work with a wide range of customers and people.
• Strong organizational skills and customer relations.
• Enthusiastic, flexible, patient demeanor with good judgment.
• Working musician with formal music school training is ideal.
• Passion for teaching music to students.

Responsibilities

• Maximize the quality of music instruction including private lessons and shows.
• Ensure students learn fundamentals of music, not just songs.
• Create and document thoughtful lesson plans.
• Communicate regularly with parents on student progress.
• Be visible and accessible in the school and assist in rehearsals.
• Adhere to the Code of Conduct and safety policies.
