Job summary

DM Injury Law is seeking an attorney to handle a personal injury pre-litigation caseload in our Kansas City office. You will build client relationships, negotiate with insurers, and move cases toward resolution with support from dedicated paralegals and staff.

The role offers uncapped origination pay from day one, including one-third of the firm’s fee on every case you bring in, plus quarterly bonuses and full benefits. This is a fast-growing Midwest firm with strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Eligibility to obtain a Kansas Bar license (UBE score or reciprocity).
• Organized and self-directed approach to a high-volume caseload.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a personal injury pre-litigation caseload from intake through demand and resolution.
• Build and maintain client relationships through proactive communication.
• Negotiate directly with insurance adjusters to maximize client recovery.
• Draft demand letters, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
• Collaborate with paralegal and case management staff in the St. Louis office.
• Develop referral relationships that grow your book of business — and your income.
