Job summary

Slocumb Law Firm in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join our growing team. This on-site, full-time role requires a minimum of 2 years of PI litigation and active bar admissions in DC and Maryland.

You will manage cases from intake through trial, handle discovery, depositions, and motions, and develop litigation strategies while maintaining strong client communication and professional conduct in a high-volume practice.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active bar admissions in DC and Maryland are required.
• Strong PI litigation background with at least 2 years hands-on experience.
• Ability to manage a full inventory of pre-litigation and litigation cases.
• Excellent advocacy, writing, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Excellent client communication and case management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage Personal Injury cases from intake through resolution, up to and including trial.
• Handle discovery, depositions, motions, hearings, mediations, negotiations, and trial preparation.
• Develop and execute effective litigation strategies.
• Maintain clear, professional, and consistent communication with clients.
• Independently manage a full inventory of pre-litigation and litigation cases.
• Collaborate with case managers, legal assistants, and firm leadership.
• Ensure compliance with established litigation standards, deadlines, and procedures.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with opposing counsel and other stakeholders.
