  • Collect and organize quality data; prepare reports for committees; assist with accreditation readiness.

Job description

Job Overview

Location: Sacramento metropolitan area – Roseville, California. This role supports hospital‑level initiatives to reduce preventable harm and improve patient outcomes. Working under the direction of quality and patient safety leaders, you will assist with improvement projects, root cause analyses, safety rounding, regulatory readiness activities, and sharing learnings from the Patient Safety Organization (PSO).

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist with improvement projects using Lean and PDSA methodologies; support leaders and teams with data collection, action tracking, and monitoring project outcomes.
  • Participate in patient safety rounding activities and support implementation of Just Culture, the Communication and Resolution Program, and safety culture initiatives; track safety goals and metrics.
  • Participate in root cause analyses and apparent cause analyses; document findings and track corrective actions, sharing safety learnings and best practices as directed.
  • Reinforce High Reliability Skills with staff; provide coaching on error‑prevention tools and reliability practices; assist with staff education sessions on quality and safety topics.
  • Collect and organize quality and safety data; assist with preparing reports for committees; support accreditation survey and regulatory readiness activities; share learnings from the PSO and adopt best practices.
  • Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience (required).
  • Two years of healthcare experience in quality, performance improvement, or patient safety support roles (required).
  • Three years of experience in patient safety, performance improvement, or quality‑related roles (preferred).
  • Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) certification and Lean certification (preferred).
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or a related credential (preferred).
  • Driver’s License (DL) (required).
Organizational Requirements
