Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis seeks a Physical Therapist to provide orthopedic/sports therapy to adult and geriatric patients, under supervision of Therapy Leadership. You will perform objective assessments and design comprehensive treatment programs aligned with Mercy standards.

Requirements include a Bachelor's, MS in PT or DPT, current PT license in the state, and 6 months to 1 year of preferred experience. This on-site role offers benefits and opportunities to contribute to exceptional patient

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of practice.
• 6 months to 1 year of experience preferred in rehabilitation.
• Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Provide direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians.
• Ensure care aligns with Mercy mission, values and service standards.

Job description

Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Shift: Days and Evenings

Education: Bachelor's, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctor of Physical Therapy.

Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in the state of practice.

Preferred Experience : Six months to one year of experience is preferred for a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients.

Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
