Job summary

Ultrasonium is seeking a researcher to formalize and model the governing physics that define our platform's control parameters. You will derive analytical and reduced-order models, and guide experiments and simulations with theory in close collaboration with the founding team.

The role emphasizes translating physical understanding into control strategies for a novel engineering problem, with an on-site environment that values autonomy and technical judgment.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master's in Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a relevant engineering field, or equivalent research experience.
• Strong analytical modeling: PDEs, continuum mechanics, transport, and dynamics.
• Excellent physics and mathematics foundation.
• Track record connecting theory to experiment and simulation.

You will derive analytical and reduced-order models, guide experiment and simulation with theory, and turn physical understanding into control strategy. You will work directly with the founding team on a novel engineering problem.

Required qualifications
