**Adjunct Physics Lab Instructor Rolling Pool**
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Facilitate hands‑on physics laboratory sessions for undergraduatestudents
- Guide students through experimental procedures and data analysistechniques
- Ensure laboratory safety protocols are followed at alltimes
- Assist students with equipment operation andtroubleshooting
- Evaluate student performance through lab reports and practicalassessments
- Maintain laboratory equipment and coordinate with technical stafffor repairs
- Provide clear explanations of physics concepts and theirpractical applications
- Support student learning through individual and small groupinstruction
- Document and report equipment issues or safety concernspromptly
**Required Qualifications:**
- Master's degree in Physics or a closely related field
- Previous teaching or instructional experience in physicslaboratories
- Strong knowledge of undergraduate physics principles andlaboratory techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a population offaculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences,or a commitment to do so as an employee at VCU
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings

**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Doctoral degree in Physics or related field
- Experience with modern physics laboratory equipment andinstrumentation
- Background in curriculum development or educationalassessment
- Familiarity with learning management systems
- Previous experience working with students at various skilllevels
