Job summary

Cchem-Trend Limited Partnership, headquartered in Michigan, seeks a Materials Informatics Scientist to drive generative AI and physics-informed ML for discovery and design of advanced materials and processes in support of sustainable mobility applications.

The role requires a PhD or equivalent and 3+ years in computational materials science, with strong programming skills in Python/Julia/C/C++, and experience with ML tools and cloud platforms. Travel is a plus.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in a related field.
• 3+ years of computational methods for materials/product design.
• Strong knowledge of structure-property relationships and materials behavior.
• Experience with cheminformatics and materials informatics, Generative AI, ML tools.

Responsibilities

• Leads activities in generative AI and physics-informed ML for discovery and design.
• Develop advanced data-driven and physics-based models for products, materials and processes.
• Analyze materials data using advanced statistical techniques.
• Plan experiments and collaborate with Freudenberg groups for model development and deployment.
• Communicate results to technical and non-technical audiences, including executives.
