This role is for a Radiation Oncology Physicist or Associate Physicist responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, and accuracy of radiation therapy treatments.
Under supervision, you will calibrate equipment, perform routine quality control, assist in treatment planning, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Key duties include verifying treatment plans, conducting dosimetry checks, designing immobilization devices, and maintaining detailed documentation.
You will perform regular equipment QA, assist in safety programs, and educate staff on radiation safety and patient care procedures.
Qualifications require a Ph.D. with at least 5 years of experience and a minimum of 2 years in radiation therapy.
Proficiency in radiation physics concepts, strong judgment, self-motivation, and excellent communication skills are essential.
Certification as an ABR Medical Physicist within 120 days is required.
