Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida, Inc. is seeking a licensed Physician Assistant (PA) to join the GI-Extenders team. The role focuses on preliminary patient assessment, history taking, and coordination of care with surgeons in the operating room.

The PA will assist in procedures, maintain sterile technique, and participate in ongoing clinical education. The position emphasizes collaboration with physicians and staff, adherence to policies, and commitment to high-quality patient care across

• Associate degree with PA license and required certifications.
• Florida license is required; CPR certification is desired.
• Prior PA experience is preferred.

Obtain complete history and perform complete physical assessment on new patients. Review current status/complaints. Review results of primary tests evaluating status. review results of tests completed since last visit and note changes.Clinical interface: Facilitate preoperative procedure. Assist with placement of invasive lines as needed. Assist attending surgeon as either a first or second assistant. participate in teaching fundamental operating room techniques including aspect technique, trying knots, Hemostasis, tissue handling, wound closure and operating room techniques. act as a consultant to operating room and house staff personnel concerning surgery protocols and patient care as designated by the supervising physician.Exhibit professional conduct in the provision of patient care. Maintain confidentiality of patient information. Work cooperatively with coworkers, physician and supervisor.
