OCHSNER HEALTH in New Orleans is searching for a Vice-Chair of the Department of Rheumatology. The successful candidate will be a respected, board certified rheumatologist with a track record of excellence in clinical care, research, and education.
Academic rank and compensation package will be commensurate with academic qualifications and experience. In addition to clinical care, education, and research, the Vice-Chair will participate in Ochsner leadership development programs and work to improve the department’s national profile. The department currently includes seven staff physicians and four fellows. Ochsner Medical Center is the referral center for Ochsner Health, and the rheumatology department manages patients from across Louisiana and Mississippi with inflammatory rheumatic disease. The department has strong multidisciplinary support across the sub-specialties to assist in the management of our complex patients.
