Job summary

The WVU Heart & Vascular Institute seeks a Vascular Surgeon to join its academic team in Morgantown, WV, with ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor.

The successful candidate will practice vascular surgery, teach medical students, residents, and fellows, and may be assigned to additional sites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania with anticipated travel.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license.
  • Must have completed general surgery residency and a vascular surgery fellowship or residency.
  • Board certified or eligible in vascular surgery; all qualifications met by appointment time.

Responsibilities

  • Practice in the area of vascular surgery with delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Teach medical students, residents, and fellows as part of an academic environment.
  • Possibly provide services at additional worksites in WV, MD, and PA with travel as needed.

Additional Job Description:

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the WVU Heart & Vascular Institute seek a Vascular Surgeon (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Martinsburg, WV.

Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites.

Duties:

The successful candidate will practice in the area of vascular surgery. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications:

Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed general surgery residency program, as well as a vascular surgery fellowship program or a vascular surgery residency. Successful candidates must be board certified / eligible in vascular surgery. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
