A leading healthcare provider in Charleston seeks a fellowship-trained urologic oncologist at the associate professor level. The role involves performing advanced open and robotic surgeries and requires a Doctor of Medicine degree. Candidates must possess a current medical license and proficiency in English. This position also offers eligibility for the Education Debt Reduction Program.
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program approval, including award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years), is determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the application. Former EDRP participants are ineligible to apply.
To qualify, you must meet the basic requirements and any additional requirements listed in the job announcement. Applicants pending completion of training or licensing may be referred and tentatively selected but cannot be hired until all requirements are met. Current VA-employed physicians who met the requirements at their initial appointment are deemed to have met the basic requirements.
