Practice Details

Sanford Health is seeking a BC/BE Reproductive Endocrinologist to join the well-established Sanford Reproductive Medicine Institute located in Fargo, North Dakota. Our program is currently the only IVF program in the state of North Dakota.

  1. Join our board certified reproductive endocrinologist and 2 nurse practitioners supported by well-trained staff.
  2. Practice is supported by over 75 referring providers throughout the state.
  3. Physician will have a full time practice and continue to expand the program through outreach to some of our regional clinics.
  4. Over 500 patients a month are seen with the number continuing to grow.
  5. Wonderful support is enjoyed by the practice from Sanford’s OB-GYNs, Maternal Fetal Medicine, and Neonatology in the on-site Level IV NICU.

Job Description

Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Core Privileges include the ability to perform history and physical examination, admit, and/or provide outpatient evaluation, consultation, and treatment of adult patients and adolescents presenting with problems with fertility or female patients of all ages presenting with problems of reproductive hormones, such as ovulation induction, hirsutism, amenorrhea, and hyperprolactinemia.

Qualifications

M.D. or D.O. degree.

Experience can be demonstrated in one of the following ways:

  1. An applicant who has just completed fellowship shall provide his/her fellowship logs.
  2. An applicant who is not applying directly out of a fellowship shall provide a quality profile from hospital(s) where he/she currently has privileges showing his/her clinical activity for the past 24 months, including numbers of procedures morbidity, mortality, infection rates and other complications. Applicant must be able to demonstrate active involvement in the clinical aspects of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility in the past 24 months including the management of 25 patient cases, with satisfactory quality data as measured by the hospital’s defined quality review system.
  3. If a quality profile is not available from the hospital(s) where the applicant currently has privileges, documentation of the applicant’s clinical activity for the past 24 months is required. Applicant must be able to demonstrate active involvement in the clinical aspects of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility in the past 24 months including the management of 25 patient cases, with satisfactory quality data as measured by the hospital’s defined quality review system.

More education and experience may be required the more advanced the practice becomes.

Successful completion of an Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program and a 3-year Fellowship program in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada. The Credentials Committee; Physician Executive or Medical Affairs Committee; and the Board of Directors or the Board of Governors may consider training at residency and fellowship programs accredited by organizations other than the above.

Certification by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable. Those applicants who are not board certified at the time of application but who have completed their residency training within the last five years shall be eligible, however must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their residency training unless the appropriate governing Board waives such requirement.
