Franciscan Alliance Inc. d/b/a Franciscan Physician Network seeks Physician at its facility located at 3500 Franciscan Way, Michigan City, Indiana 46360.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Outpatient volume: 18 - 20 patients per day with 1:4 on call rotation. Evaluate, diagnose, perform history and physical, treat and provide consultation to adolescent and adult patients with illnesses, injuries, disorders, and diseases of the body systems. Provide care to patients in intensive care. Ensure typical procedures include airway maintenance intubation, Fiberoptic bronchoscopy and laryngoscopy, Alveolar arterial gradients, calculation of Oxygen content and intrapulmonary shunt, management of anaphylaxis and acute allergic reactions, Arterial puncture, Cardiac output determinations, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Cardioversion, Placement of Catheters, Insertion and management of chest tubes, management of Immunosuppressed patients, Intracranial pressure monitoring, Life threatening disorders in intensive care units including coma, diabetic acidosis, drug overdose, heart failure, kidney failure, massive bleeding, respiratory arrest, shock, and trauma, Lumbar puncture, Paracentesis, Percutaneous needle aspiration of palpable masses, Thoracentesis, Transtracheal catheterization, Ventilator management, Wound care and Cannulas/ nasal prongs/ nebulizers/ reservoir masks.

REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires a Doctor of Medicine ("MD") or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine ("DO") degree. Employers will accept ECFMG equivalency to MD. This position also requires: (1) Completed residency in Internal Medicine from accredited institution; (2) Completed fellowship in pulmonary disease from accredited institution; (3) Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine; 4) Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary Disease; and (5) Licensed to practice Medicine in IN.
