The Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia is a little more than an hour from Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, MD, close to three international airports. A rural atmosphere with a lower cost of living and easy accessibility to the Washington, DC / Baltimore areas makes the Eastern Panhandle an ideal place to live. Berkeley County is among the fastest growing counties in the state, with little congestion and traffic, and recent years have seen growth in telecommuting and high-tech industries.
