Job summary

The Prisma Health Physician is responsible for the provision of quality medical services to patients of Prisma Health-University Medical Group in Columbia, South Carolina. This role requires clinical excellence, compassionate patient care, and adherence to professional standards within an academic health system.

You will diagnose and treat patients using evidence-based approaches, document accurately with CPT/ICD codes, and participate in after-hours coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
• Successful Completion of Residency; Board Certified or Board Eligible; Medical Staff Privileges.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, prevent, or treat diseases and injuries per professional standards.
• Render medical treatment irrespective of patient's ability to pay or demographics.
• Complete accurate records using CPT and ICD codes.
• Provide after-hours call coverage with the practice team.
• Comply with standards of professional practice and payors' requirements.
• Maintain continuing medical education to meet licensing requirements.
• Engage in non-revenue activities to support Prisma Health's mission and vision.
