Job summary

In addition, they are responsible for phlebotomy and assisting with the application and removal of casts.**Key Responsibilities:*** The Physician Practice Assistant assists in rooming patients, taking vital signs, measurements, preparation of exam rooms, assisting the physician, interacting with other departments.* The Physician Practice Assistant works with and under the direction of the Physician and RN.* Assists providers, nursing and other health care professionals with procedures and the intake and depart processes.* Accurately documents information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)* Responsible for prepping clinic to include ordering and monitoring supply levels and equipment.* Utilizes good clinical judgement to identify problems and interventions with patients and families and referral to RN as needed**Required Qualifications:*** High School Diploma / GED* Basic Life Support (BLS)**Preferred Qualifications:*** Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)* Two years' experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic or physician's office beyond internship preferred.* Two years' pediatric care experience* American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)The pay range for this position is $20.30 - $30.45/hour.Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
