Shriners Children's in Sacramento is seeking a Medical Assistant to support medical and nursing staff in outpatient clinics, performing routine clinical and clerical tasks, phlebotomy, and assisting with casts.

You will collect and report data to the multidisciplinary team, handle registration and scheduling, and communicate with patients and families to ensure effective care. Certification in Medical Assistant and BLS are required. This is a full-time role in pediatric care.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Job Description

The Medical Assistant supports the medical and nursing staff in providing care and comfort to infant, toddler, preschool, school-age, adolescent, and young adult patients during outpatient clinic appointments by performing routine clinical and clerical tasks. In addition, the Medical Assistant is responsible for phlebotomy and assisting with the application and removal of casts.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience

The pay range for this position is $27.88 - $39.36/hour.
Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
