Job summary

HarmonyCares seeks a Physician Leader in Richmond, VA to act as on-site supervising physician for APPs and POD physicians. You will drive clinical performance, patient safety, and quality outcomes while developing the pod team's capabilities.

Ideal candidates have an MD/DO, active CPR, DEA, and a state medical license; experience with geriatrics or complex patients is preferred. This role emphasizes collaboration with market leadership and staff development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Osteopathy (DO) credential and medical license required.
• Active CPR certification is required.
• Unrestricted DEA and MD/DO license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site supervising physician for APPs and POD physicians, ensuring compliant care.
• Lead clinical pod performance including diagnosis, documentation and patient safety.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with clinical pod team members.
• Oversee quality metrics, care plans and high-risk patient management.
• Mentor APPs and conduct clinical education on chronic disease management.
