Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a full-time Plastic Surgeon to join its dedicated team on the Olathe Campus. The role focuses on reconstructive and elective cosmetic surgery, working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include a full spectrum of procedures, patient evaluation and treatment planning, and on-call trauma coverage. Board-eligible/board-certified candidates with Missouri and Kansas licensure are encouraged

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent required.
• Board certification or eligibility in Plastic Surgery required.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Missouri and Kansas.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full spectrum of plastic and reconstructive procedures including breast reconstruction, skin cancer reconstruction, hand surgery, trauma and cancer-related flap coverage, wound care, basic facial trauma, and elective cosmetic procedures.
• Evaluate, diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with pre- and post-operative care including follow-up visits.
• Participate in on-call rotation for trauma and emergency consults and collaborate with multiple specialties to deliver patient-centered care.

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a full-time Plastic Surgeon to join its dedicated team on the Olathe Campus. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality reconstructive and elective cosmetic surgical services while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care. This role emphasizes both clinical excellence and strong engagement with the local community.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform a full spectrum of plastic and reconstructive surgical procedures, including but not limited to:

• Breast reconstruction and reduction
• Skin cancer reconstruction
• Hand surgery
• Trauma and cancer related flap coverage
• Wound care
• Basic Facial Trauma
• Elective cosmetic procedures
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including follow-up visits
• Participate in on-call rotation for trauma and emergency consults
• Collaborate with orthopedic, vascular, colorectal, gynecology, cardiothoracic, urology, general and neurosurgeons, dermatologists, oncologists, and primary care providers
