Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System in Kansas City, KS, seeks a full-time Physician - OB/GYN Specialist to join its Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. You will provide ambulatory and inpatient care including night and weekend Labor and Delivery coverage.

You will participate in resident and fellow teaching, supervise residents and students, and contribute to clinical research. Board certification in OB/GYN is required or eligible, with licensure in KS/MO; menopause/vulvovaginal care

Qualifications

  • MD, DO or equivalent.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Eligible for licensure in Kansas and Missouri.
  • Experience in menopause and/or vulvovaginal care highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Ambulatory and inpatient care, including night and weekend Labor and Delivery coverage.
  • Provide attendance and presentations at teaching conferences for students, residents, and fellows.
  • Guide and assist house staff in talks, publications, and research presentations.
  • Engage in clinical research within the Division to support scholarly activities.

As a faculty member of the Specialist Division, you will supervise residents and students, as well as provide consultation to certified nurse midwives. The ambulatory practice includes care in outpatient private clinics, supervision of resident clinics and coverage of community-based clinics. The position provides a competitive benefits package.
