Full-Time Pediatrician HUB - Bronx, New York - Full-time and Permanent - CLICK AND APPLY NOW!

The Pediatrician diagnoses and treats patients in his / her specialty area; collaborates and supervises nurse practitioners and physician assistants; participates in planning and developing healthcare services in his / her specialties. The role involves treating conditions and illnesses within the scope of the physician's specialty, referral and follow-up of patients when indicated, and participating in after-hours coverage to ensure 24-hour availability of care for Center patients.

Performs job duties in compliance with systems and job-specific standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Takes histories, performs physical examinations, and prescribes treatment and medication for conditions within his / her specialty following evidence-based standards of care.
  2. Provides off-hours and hospital coverage for Health Center patients where contractually obligated.
  3. Designs and participates in quality improvement activities, including Medical Record Peer Review, performance and procedure audits, outcome audits, and focused reviews.
  4. Provides supervision for clinical activities of medical providers and medical documentation, including review of protocols, telephone triage, follow-up procedures.
  5. Sets standards for preventive care and diagnostic screening within his / her specialty; participates in developing programs to implement these standards.
  6. Maintains accurate and legible documentation of medical records.
  7. Participates in provider meetings.
  8. Ensures safe and effective performance, meeting productivity, quality, and patient satisfaction standards.
Minimum Education Requirement:

Doctorate Degree (M.D. or D.O.), valid license to practice medicine in New York State, Board Certified or Eligible.

Minimum Related Work Experience:

2-4 years

Salary Range:

$190,000.00 - $200,000.00 annually
