Job summary

WVU Medicine, the West Virginia University Health System, is recruiting a Pediatric Hospitalist for Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV. The role focuses on inpatient care within a large, integrated health system.

The ideal candidate holds an MD/DO (or MD/PhD), has completed a pediatric residency and fellowship, and will become board certified in pediatric hospital medicine within five years. Licensure in WV or eligibility is required.

WVU Medicine, West Virginia University Health System Medical Group (WVUHS Medical Group) is actively recruiting a Physician Pediatric Hospitalist, at Wheeling Hospital located in Wheeling, WV.

Duties: Provide comprehensive inpatient clinical care to patients with disease and injuries of the human internal organ system and establish preventive health practices for patients.

Successful candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree (the employer accepts foreign educational equivalent) and be eligible to obtain a state medical license. Candidates must have completed an accredited pediatric or pediatric/internal medicine residency program as well as a pediatric hospital medicine fellowship. Successful candidates must be board eligible or certified in pediatrics and will be expected to become board certified in pediatric hospital medicine within five years.
