Job summary

WVU Medicine, West Virginia University Health System Medical Group, is recruiting a Pediatric Hospitalist for Weirton Medical Center in Weirton, WV. The role focuses on inpatient care for children within a coordinated WVU Health System network.

The successful candidate will have an MD/DO, complete pediatric residency (and fellowship preferred), and be board-eligible or certified with a plan to obtain pediatric hospital medicine board certification within five years.

WVU Medicine, West Virginia University Health System Medical Group (WVUHS Medical Group) is actively recruiting a Physician Pediatric Hospitalist, at Weirton Medical Center, located in Weirton, WV.

Duties:

Provide comprehensive inpatient clinical care to patients with disease and injuries of the human internal organ system and establish preventive health practices for patients.

Successful candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree (the employer accepts foreign educational equivalent) and be eligible to obtain a state medical license. Candidates must have completed an accredited pediatric or pediatric/internal medicine residency program as well as a pediatric hospital medicine fellowship. Successful candidates must be board eligible or certified in pediatrics, and will be expected to become board certified in pediatric hospital medicine within five years.
