West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation are recruiting a Pain Medicine physiatrist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The candidate will practice in Morgantown, WV.
Candidates should possess excellent clinical skills and a strong interest in education and research. Clinical and basic science research is encouraged and supported, with laboratory facilities available. All faculty are required to participate in our integrated residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Qualified candidates will have a special interest in managing rehabilitation needs for neurologic and general rehabilitation patients, with procedural skills in spasticity management. Electrodiagnostic procedures are available.
Duties: The successful candidate will practice in physical medicine and rehabilitation, focusing on interventional spine and pain management. They will provide excellent patient care and be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualifications: The candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for a state medical license. They must have completed a physical medicine and rehabilitation residency and be board certified/eligible. Additional fellowship training in interventional spine, musculoskeletal, pain medicine, or sports medicine is required, with all qualifications met by the time of appointment. The position primarily involves outpatient services, with opportunities for electrodiagnostic evaluations, ultrasound-guided procedures, spasticity management, prosthetics, TBI, and other neuromuscular and neurologic disorders.
