MaineHealth Pen Bay Hospital in Rockport, Maine is seeking an Otolaryngologist to join its local team. The role blends outpatient clinics with operating room time, serving patients from children to adults with hearing loss, balance disorders, snoring and sleep apnea.

You will collaborate with the Audiology team to provide endoscopic sinus surgery, tonsil/adenoidectomy for pediatric sleep apnea, nasal obstruction relief and comprehensive ENT care, backed by a strong support network.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Active and unrestricted State ME medical license, or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• Board Certification/Eligibility.
• Active and unrestricted DEA license, or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• EMR Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mix of outpatient and operating room time.
• Treat patients across ages with hearing loss, balance disorders, snoring and sleep apnea.
• Collaborate with Audiology team to provide comprehensive ENT care.
• Offer procedures such as tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, sinus surgery and nasal obstruction relief.

Job description

MaineHealth Pen Bay Hospital in beautiful Rockport, Maine is currently seeking an Otolaryngologist to join its local team. The position will allow for a diverse patient population, treating patients for hearing loss, balance disorders, snoring, and sleep apnea from children to adults.

The position offers a mix of outpatient and OR time, seeing patients in the office as well as performing surgery as needed. The Pen Bay Otolaryngologists work collaboratively with the Audiology team treating the patients of the coastal communities. The team currently provides the below services to our patients. Tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy for management of pediatric sleep apnea, snoring and chronic infections. Medical and surgical treatment for children and adults with chronic otitis media, otitis externa, Eustachian tube dysfunction, and middle ear fluid. Endoscopic sinus surgery and medical management for individuals with ongoing sinus infections that are difficult to treat. Nasal and palate surgery for treatment of nasal obstruction, sleep apnea, and snoring. Evaluation and management of gradual and sudden hearing loss, vertigo and tinnitus.

The annual base salary for this position is $450,000.
