Job summary

Salem Health Hospitals & Clinics is looking for a full-time Physician - Otolaryngology in Rockport, Maine. This position entails performing outpatient work, operating room time, and collaboration with the Audiology team to provide comprehensive care in this coastal community.

The role includes conducting medical and surgical treatments for conditions affecting the ear, nose, and throat, with a focus on patient outcomes and collaboration.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Active and unrestricted State of ME medical license, or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• Board Certification or Eligibility in Otolaryngology.

Responsibilities

• Perform outpatient physician work and operating room procedures.
• Collaborate with the Audiology team for patient treatment.
• Conduct surgeries as needed for various conditions.

We are seeking an Otolaryngologist to join our local team. The position involves outpatient physician work and operating room time, seeing patients in the office and performing surgery as needed. The Otolaryngologists collaborate closely with the Audiology team to treat patients in this coastal community.

Services Provided

• Tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy for pediatric sleep apnea, snoring, and chronic infections
• Medical and surgical treatment of chronic otitis media, otitis externa, Eustachian tube dysfunction, and middle ear fluid in children and adults
• Endoscopic sinus surgery and medical management for difficult sinus infections
• Nasal and palate surgery for nasal obstruction, sleep apnea, and snoring
• Evaluation and management of gradual and sudden hearing loss, vertigo, and tinnitus
