Job summary

Essen Health Care in New York is the largest privately held multispecialty medical group, offering primary care, urgent care and specialty services across 50+ locations.

We seek board certified or eligible physicians in all specialties to join our expanding team. Positions include office, urgent care, house calls and nursing homes in multiple regions; NY license and DEA/DPS registrations required.

Qualifications

• BC/BE in Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, Palliative Care/Hospice or Family Medicine.
• MD/DO degree from an accredited United States medical school.
• Successful completion of residency and US pathway.
• Active NY License.
• Current NY Medical Practitioner License.
• DEA and DPS registrations for prescription writing.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary medical care to Nursing Home patients within standard of care.
• Order labs and radiology tests; refer to specialists as needed.
• Analyze reports and records to diagnose and propose treatments.
• Prescribe medications and regimens; monitor side effects.
• Discuss treatments with patients and ensure allergy info is up-to-date.
• Advise on lifestyle and diet changes for health improvement.
• Adhere to policies, safety, and infection control standards.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with privacy laws.
• Record complete, timely medical records.

Education

MD or DO degree (US medical school)

Active NY License

Current NY State Medical Practitioner License
