Essen Health Care in New York is seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible Physicians across multiple specialties for office, urgent care, house calls and nursing home divisions. Opportunities exist in Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Poughkeepsie, Long Island and Westchester.

Candidates will assess, diagnose and treat patients, prescribe medications, and collaborate with a team of health professionals to provide high-quality care.

Qualifications

  • BC/BE in Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, Palliative Care/Hospice or Family Medicine
  • MD or DO from an accredited US medical school
  • Successful residency completion at an accredited healthcare institution or US pathway
  • Active NY License and current DEA/DPS registrations

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary medical care to patients in nursing home, office or urgent care settings.
  • Order labs and radiology tests; refer to specialists as needed.
  • Diagnose conditions and propose evidence-based treatment options.
  • Prescribe medications and treatment regimens.
  • Discuss treatment options and potential side effects with patients and families.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with health information privacy laws.
  • Record complete and timely medical records.

Job Summary

Essen is currently seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible Physicians in all Specialties. Psychiatrist, MD, Dermatologist, Ophthalmologist, Audiologist, Cardiologist, House Calls (with a driver), Nursing Homes, Neurology, Pumlanology, Nephrology, Primary Care Providers (MD), etc..; for All regions, within our Office, Urgent Care, House Calls & Nursing Home Divisions. We have openings in varies locations Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Poughkeepsie, Long Island & Westchester County. We are an expanding primary care team and provide patients with high-quality treatment and diagnostic services. The Physicians role will be responsible for meeting, assessing and diagnosing patients and providing them with healthcare services that meet state and national standards for caregiving. They will be responsible for prescribing patients with appropriate medication, health regimens and lifestyle adjustments that will contribute to their recovery from diagnosed health issues, prevent future health issues and/or promote a healthier life. The right candidate will have a passion for providing diagnostic services to patients and will enjoy working closely with other healthcare professionals in our organization.

  • Work with the primary healthcare team to provide patients with primary medical care services within the standard of care for Nursing Home patients.
  • Order laboratory and radiology tests and refer patients to specialists when appropriate and called for.
  • Analyze reports, test results, medical records and examinations to diagnose condition of patients and propose treatment options.
  • Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens to treat identified and documented medical conditions.
  • Discuss potential side effects of medication/treatment with patients and ensure that all allergy information is up-to-date before prescribing medication/treatment.
  • Provide advice to patients for lifestyle and diet changes that may improve their health or help to treat the health issue they are experiencing.
  • Adhere to departmental policies, procedures and objectives, ongoing quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws
  • Record complete, timely and legible medical records

  • BC/BE in Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, Palliative Care/Hospice or Family Medicine
  • Medical Doctor(MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic(DO) degree from an accredited United States medical school
  • Successful completion of residency and at an accredited healthcare institution or completed a US residency or 5 year pathway
  • Active NY License
  • Current New York State Medical Practitioner License
  • Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration, for prescription writing. I’m guessing they can get this during the credentialing process
  • Experience providing primary care and diagnostic services in a clinical setting
  • Experience working in a team of healthcare professionals and collaborating with them to ensure positive, effective patient experiences with our organization

Salary $200,000-$350,000
