Job description

Geisinger Medical Center (GMC), Danville, Pennsylvania, is seeking a BC/BE, fellowship-trained Cornea Specialist to join the Department of Ophthalmology. This position offers the opportunity to work in a well-established practice with multi-specialty Ophthalmologists and Optometrists.

About this position:

• Utilize advanced diagnostic technologies such as FA, Fundus Camera, HVF, Goldman Field, IOL Master, Immersion, OCT, Pachymetry, UBM, Idesign, anterior segment OCT, and Topography.
• Perform treatments including SLT Laser, YAG Laser, Argon Laser, and excimer laser.
• Work across two surgical facilities: one at the outpatient surgery center and another at GMC main campus.
• Receive support from a PA-C and CRNP.
• Practice in a location with 50 exam rooms at the outpatient surgery center.
• Share call responsibilities (home call), approximately 1 in 8 weeks.
• Benefit from a large referral base from onsite Optometrists, local Ophthalmologists, and satellite offices.
• Opportunities to perform cross-linking, LASIK, DSEK, DMEK, develop new programs, conduct research, and teach residents.
