Job summary

AdventHealth in Ocala, FL seeks an experienced office professional to support OB/GYN operations. You will schedule clinic procedures, verify benefits, and process authorizations, serving as a liaison with insurers and patients.

The role requires 2+ years of office experience, familiarity with medical office processes, and strong communication and organizational skills. Full-time daytime hours with comprehensive benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

  • Supports OB/GYN Office operations.
  • Schedule patients for clinic procedures in coordination with departments.
  • Register patients and verify benefits for visits.
  • Process authorizations and pre-certifications for procedures.
  • Liaise with insurance companies for approvals.
  • Communicate preparation details for procedures to patients.
  • Coordinate equipment and medications for procedures.
  • Coordinate with vendors for equipment and presence.
  • Oversee training for procedures and ensure equipment maintenance.
  • Assist in patient procedures and manage timely billing.
  • Order and manage supplies within budget.
  • Ensure efficient clinic procedure workflow.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description:
  • Supports OB/GYN Office
  • Schedules patients for clinic-based procedures, coordinating with relevant departments.
  • Registers patients and performs benefit eligibility verification applicable for patient visits.
  • Completes authorization and pre-certification related to patient procedures.
  • Serves as a liaison with insurance companies to submit accurate information needed for approval.
  • Relays instructions and preparation details for procedures to patients.
  • Coordinates equipment and medications needed for procedures.
  • Acts as a liaison with vendors to ensure equipment and vendor presence when needed.
  • Oversees training needed for procedures and ensures appropriate cleaning and maintenance of all equipment.
  • Assists in patient procedures and oversees timely billing of procedures.
  • Orders and maintains supplies for the department within budget guidelines.
  • Oversees clinic-based procedure operations, ensuring efficient and effective workflow.
  • Other duties as assigned.
