Job summary

Barton Associates is seeking an Occupational Medicine Physician in Arizona for a 60-day assignment starting Sep 14, 2026. The role involves managing an established patient panel primarily comprising workers' comp cases and supervising multiple advanced practice providers.

The schedule runs 8 hours per day from 8 AM to 5 PM, with duties including evaluating musculoskeletal injuries, handling head injuries, chest/abdomen injuries, eye injuries, rashes, respiratory symptoms, and performing DOT

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Occupational Medicine required.
• Experience supervising advanced practice providers preferred.
• DOT physicals experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take over an existing patient panel of workman's compensation cases.
• Supervise multiple advanced practice providers.
• Evaluate and manage occupational musculoskeletal injuries of the neck, back, and extremities.
• Address work-related head injuries with or without loss of consciousness.
• Manage work-related chest or abdomen injuries; include hernias.
• Treat work-related lacerations not impairing function.
• Eye injuries from work-related incidents not affecting vision.
• Manage work-related rashes and skin conditions.
• Address occupational asthma and respiratory symptoms.
• Perform DOT physicals.

This role involves managing an established patient panel primarily composed of workman's comp cases and providing supervision to multiple advanced practice providers. The schedule is a consistent 8-hour day, from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Take over an existing patient panel of workman's compensation cases.
• Supervise multiple advanced practice providers.
• Evaluate and manage common occupational musculoskeletal injuries of the neck, back, and upper and lower extremities.
• Address work-related head injuries with or without loss of consciousness, assuming the individual is currently conscious and alert.
• Manage work-related chest or abdomen injuries, with the possibility of hernias.
• Treat work-related lacerations of the face and extremities which do not impair function or sensation.
• Handle work-related foreign bodies to the eye, and other non-penetrating eye injuries or conditions of the eye that do not affect vision.
• Manage work-related rashes and other occupational skin conditions.
• Address occupational asthma and other work-related respiratory symptoms
• Perform DOT physicals.
