Job summary

Premise Health Inc. is seeking a Full Time Physician to provide Occupational Health and Primary care at our Health Center in Modesto, CA. The role supports employees and dependents aged 2 and older, with hours Mon-Fri, 8 AM to 5 PM, and no on-call or weekend duties.

You will deliver episodic, preventive, and acute care, perform occupational health services, and collaborate with patients on treatment plans. The position includes comprehensive benefits and a focus on work-life balance.

Qualifications

• State licenses to practice and a valid Federal DEA license.
• Current board certification (ABMS, AMA or AOA).
• Medical Degree from an accredited program.
• CPR certification with hands-on skill assessment.
• At least three years of post-residency clinical experience.
• Experience in primary care and occupational medicine in outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide episodic, preventive, and acute health care to patients.
• Provide occupational health services including post-offer physicals and surveillance exams.
• Conduct histories and physicals and prescribe medications.
• Develop treatment plans in collaboration with patients and educate on medical issues.
• Provide referrals to appropriate medical resources or specialties.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care and monitor patient progress.
• Identify emergencies and provide care within legal scope.
• Maintain medical records using EMR if applicable.
• Support health center goals and objectives.

As a Full Time Physician, you'll provide Occupational Health and Primary care to client employees along with providing primary care to employees and their dependents ages 2 and older in our Health Center at EJ Gallo located in Modesto, CA. The scheduled hours are Monday‑Friday, 8 AM‑5 PM.

No call, No weekends

What You’ll Do

• Provides episodic, preventive, and acute health care to patients
• Provide occupational health services (i.e., post-offer physicals, occupational surveillance exams, medical monitoring, return to work exams and Worker's Compensation medical guidance).
• Conductes histories and physical examinations and prescribes medications and/or medical treatments based on best practice standards.
• Develops treatment plans in collaboration with patients; educates and advises on medical issues as needed.
• Provides referrals both internally and externally to appropriate medical resource or specialty.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of medical care and monitors progress of patients.
• Identifies emergency situations and provides care within legal scope of practice and as defined by Premise Health privileging process.
• Participates in the development of annual health center goals and objectives.
• Maintains medical records using (In some health centers it may be using Electronic Medical Record software).
• May formulate and administer health programs as needed.
• Provides overall responsibility for the care of patients seen in the health care clinic in the absence of the Medical Leader.
• May require other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

• Current board certificate (ABMS, AMA or AOA)
• Medical Degree
• CPR (BLS for the Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer or ACLS – the copy must include the front and back of card as applicable) Certification must include “hands on” evaluation of skills by the trainer/instructor. Total online courses will not be accepted. Course must also meet the American Heart Association (AHA) standards but need not be an AHA certificate.
• At least three years of post-residency clinical experience
• Experience in primary care and occupational medicine in an outpatient, urgent care or emergency room setting.

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $290,000 - $310,000 annually. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
