Responsibilities
As a Physician (Obstetrics/Gynecology), you will:
- Serve as an expert and consultant in Obstetrics and Gynecology, focusing on ambulatory care.
- Be responsible for the examination, diagnosis, and treatment of the full range of OB/GYN patients.
- Have expertise in both abdominal and trans-vaginal ultrasonography related to ambulatory medicine.
- Utilize and perform screening and diagnostic modalities for OB/GYN malignancies, including biopsies and colposcopy.
- Provide primary preventive care and education for women in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic.
- Evaluate functional and dysfunctional problems related to the female pelvis, such as masses, pain, urological complaints, bleeding abnormalities, hormonal dysfunction, and infections.
- Assess emergency obstetrical issues and treat or refer appropriately.
- Perform advanced examinations and treatments for patients referred for consultation.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with medical management problems, analyzing laboratory and clinical findings to provide appropriate care.
- Collaborate with specialists in other areas on interrelated problems.
- Admit and discharge patients as required.
- Work in Labor and Delivery for the delivery of infants.
- Handle emergencies and perform on-call duties.
- Participate in medical education and training programs, guiding and instructing residents, interns, medical students, and other professionals in ambulatory OB-GYN care.
- Deliver lectures on aspects of ambulatory OB-GYN care when requested.
- Attend departmental and service-specific conferences and lectures.
- Maintain current knowledge of obstetrics and gynecology through annual continuing medical education.
Qualifications
- US Citizenship required.
- Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Possess a permanent, full, and unrestricted medical license in a U.S. state, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory.
