WVUHS Medical Group and the Department of Emergency Medicine are seeking an Observation Medicine Physician to join our community emergency medicine practice at Thomas Memorial Hospital Observation Unit in South Charleston, West Virginia. The position offers competitive private practice compensation, aligned with our mission, vision, values, and connections to an academic health system. Practice emergency medicine with the right team for the right reasons.
This role involves the efficient and effective full-time practice of Observational Medicine services, following the policies of West Virginia University of Medicine.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will practice in Observation Medicine and/or Emergency Medicine, providing comprehensive clinical care to patients in these capacities and establishing preventive health practices.
Qualifications: Candidates must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent, be eligible for a state medical license, and have completed an accredited emergency/internal/family medicine residency. Board certification or eligibility via a recognized ABMS board is required. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
