Reports to the Chief Medical Officer; performs professional health services, such as examining and treating expectant mothers and aids in diagnoses, management and care of gynecological diseases within a comprehensive health center setting.
M.D. degree with specialization and residency in OB/GYN; plus one (1) year of experience in health care setting. Must hold current Georgia license. Current D.E.A. certificate.
Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for prolonged periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires normal visual acuity and hearing. Requires exposures to communicable diseases and bodily fluids. Requires working under stress in emergency situations or during irregular hours.
Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
