Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Physician - Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist in Kansas City. This role requires a board-certified surgical pathologist with subspecialty training or practice experience in Breast and/or GYN Pathology.

The successful candidate will engage in diagnostic sign out and general surgical pathology, with teaching opportunities for residents. A generous compensation and benefits package is offered, including relocation assistance and professional liability coverage.

Qualifications

  • M.D., M.D./Ph.D. or D.O. degree required.
  • Board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology is mandatory.
  • Experience in surgical pathology and fellowship training preferred.

  • Engage in frozen section services in general surgical pathology.

This is a full-time appointment on the clinical track in the Kansas Medical Center Department of Pathology.The successful candidate should possess strong diagnostic skills with subspecialty training or experience in the specified specialties. In addition to participating in diagnostic sign out of 1 to 2 subspecialty areas, the successful candidate will be expected to participate in the general surgical pathology frozen section services.This position offers a unique opportunity to have a clinically-oriented practice while being affiliated with the University of Kansas Department of Pathology and join a department with over 25 subspecialized pathologists on the main campus.
